Agnes Josephine Deris

Agnes Josephine (Baby) Deris, 93, of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away on August 16, 2021.

Agnes was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 14, 1928, to the late Joseph Stewart and Agnes Stewart (Parsons).

Along with her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Philibert; second husband, Neville Reid, Sr.; sister, Amy Hohn; brother, Alfonso (Sonny) Stewart; and grandson, Austyn Reid.

Agnes is survived by her son, Norman Philibert; son, Sherold(Marsia) Philibert; daughter, Dianne (Allan) Lawrence; daughter, Joan (Gerald) Morency; daughter, Donna (Michael) Pryor; son, Patrick (Barbara) Reid; son, Neville (Sharon) Reid, Jr.; grandchildren, Francine, Nicole, Sherold, Jr., Giovanni, Shawn,Tyiece, Matthew, Bianca, Amanda, Alexandria; brother, Jack Stuart; sister, Carmelita Barrow; great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Agnes was known for her sense of style and humor. She loved gardening and making floral arrangements to decorate her home. Agnes was an ardent reader and spent many hours writing her thoughts down in her journals. Her love of music was demonstrated when she played her keyboard and guitar. On Sundays she spent her time in church helping others.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 3:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home located at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
