It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angela “Angie” Tate, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us far too soon on October 24, 2024. She was 42 years old and, for the past eight years, fought with courage, grace and resilience in her battle against breast cancer.
Born on September 15, 1982, Angie grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she developed a group of lifelong friends. Angie graduated from Roosevelt high school where she played softball. Angie loved bowling, hunting, her three dogs (Doe, Remi and Kimber), chickens and of course… magical trips to Disney with her family!
Angie's positive attitude was infectious and she was known to say something and laugh at her own jokes or even make fun of herself by starting with a big “Ha Ha”. Angie’s tradition for decorating during Christmas was second to none, with her elaborate Christmas village and awesome collection of nutcrackers.
She touched everyone around her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she dedicated herself to them with all of her heart. In the past year, she took immense pride in her grandson Blake, who brought out her biggest smiles.
Angie is survived by her loving husband, Matt; her two beautiful daughters, Brooklyn and Savanna, her cherished grandson, Blake along with her parents Steve and Vicky and her sister Shelly.
Angie’s strength, compassion, and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. She faced each day of her journey with bravery and a steadfast hope that lifted up those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of love and resilience will never be forgotten.
A celebration of her life will be held on November 3rd with a public viewing from 2:00 - 3:00, followed by a chapel service at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, Angie supported the local Humane Society and the Pink House. Angie would also appreciate supporting any cancer research foundation to help others in their fight against breast cancer.
Though her time with us was far too short, Angie’s spirit will remain with us forever, a constant reminder to live with love, strength, and grace.
