Anne Wynn Carver, 77 of Beaufort, SC, passed away on December 15, 2023 at The Pines at Davidson in Davidson, NC. Anne Wynn was born December 16, 1945 in Hinton, VA, the daughter of Donald and Virginia Ann Carver, who preceded her in death. In addition to her life partner, Bacot Allston, Anne Wynn is survived by her siblings, Donald Carver II (Ann Tate) of Beaufort, SC and Dan Carver (Terri) of Davidson, NC as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Anne Wynn graduated from Turner Ashby High School in Dayton, VA in 1964 and earned her BA from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA. She earned her Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland in 1968. After graduation Anne Wynn became an English and reading teacher in Dover, DE and New Castle, DE before joining the Beaufort County, SC school district in 1971. She spent more than 30 years with Beaufort County schools and retired as the executive director of educational technology.

An avid reader, sports fan, and world traveler, Anne’s energy and enthusiasm were evident in many other activities. She enjoyed numerous Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) classes, Lunch with Author series, theater productions of the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, and weekly lunches with friends. Along with her pets, Anne loved her home in the South Carolina Low Country. Her vivacious and adventurous spirit will be missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Pines at Davidson where Anne resided for more than two years, as well as Gaitway of Charlotte and VIA Health Partners for their excellent services.

As per Anne’s wishes there will be no memorial service.
