Antonio Lopes Amaral

Antonio Lopes Amaral, age 74, of Mooresville, NC passed away on July 8th, 2020. Antonio was born in Portugal on March 30, 1946 to the late Antonio Amaral and Ana Lopes Amaral. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Maria da Luz Amaral. Survivors in addition to his wife, include his two daughters Ana Rosa Amaral-Burke and Lisa Marie Amaral Zelasko. Along with his son-in-laws Brian Burke and Steven Zelasko; his beloved granddaughters Luxe Amaral Zelasko and Liv Amaral Zelasko. 

Antonio was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, and friend who served in the Portuguese Army; had several rich careers as an experienced butcher in both Portugal and the USA, skilled truck driver in NY, and business owner. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Benfica Soccer team, family trips to the beach, reading, gardening, and working on countless backyard projects with his son-in-laws. Above all, Antonio enjoyed playing and spending time with his two granddaughters.

He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his heart of gold.
