Audrey Forys Michal

Audrey J. Michal, 88, of Davidson, NC passed away on Nov. 17, 2025.

Audrey was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on June 9, 1937 to the late Walter B. Forys and Margaret Forys. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Forys.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Paul H. Michal and her children: Christine Bertone (Dan), Carol Hamel (Phil), Paul T. Michal (Tricia), and Cathleen Maxson (Jeff). She adored her 9 grandchildren: Erin, Rachel, Stephen, Kristen, Jonathan, Scott, Jessica, Grant, and Luke and was delighted to have 5 great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Ellie, Emery, Quinn, and Calvin. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene Cibulas (Bob), her brother, Ron Forys (Donna), and sister-in-law, Marsha Forys.

Audrey was a proud graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA and dedicated most of her nursing years to Frick Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, PA. She loved gatherings with family and friends, fun times with card club and the bowling group, traveling, and many church activities at Our Lady Star of the Sea in North Myrtle Beach, SC, where she and Paul spent 22 wonderful years of retirement.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
