Beatrice Wade Little

Beatrice Wade Brown Little, 68, of Huntersville, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023.  Bea was born on October 21, 1954, to Vernon P. Brown and Sylvia Howell Brown of Parkersburg.  Bea was the second eldest of four girls and two boys.

Beatrice graduated from Parkersburg High school in 1973, and earned her Associates Degree at Glenville State College.  She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Montreat College in Montreat, NC.  

Bea began her career at Dupont Washington Works in WV.  On March 6, 1976, Bea married Gordon M. Little, of Fairmont, WV.  They went on to rear two wonderful children, Jared M. Little and Emily M. Little (Vashti.)  In 1988, Bea accepted an opportunity to work for Polymerland (now SABIC innovative Plastics) in Huntersville, NC.  Bea later retired from the Albemarle Corporation.

 

In addition to her Husband and children, Beatrice is survived by her    Grandhildren, Jaida Little, Kaden Little, Karter Lynch-Little and Isabella Lynch-Little and her Great-Grandson, Christian Jared Little.  She also leaves behind, siblings, Faith Brown, Pete Brown and Nancy Ray (Ricky.) 

 

In addition to her Mother and Father, Bea was preceded in death by her Sister, Cheri Brown, Brother, Tim Brown and her Granddaughter, Milan Little.

 

Bea also loved her Fairmont, WV family.  She leaves behind her Mother-in Law, Billie Jo Moss.  Her Sister-in Law, Antonette Little, Brothers-in-law, Michael Little (Shirley), Keith Simmons, Rodney Little, Tim Simmons and Jaime Little and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bea was a proud and active member of Lake Norman Church of Christ in Huntersville, North Carolina, with a church family that loved her dearly.   Bea's love and devotion to God impacted everyone she met through her kindness, wisdom and her tender heart toward people of all walks of life.  She lived Jesus's command in Matthew 22:36-40.  Bea was a beautiful soul and we are all richly blessed to have known her.

 

Services  will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. A repass will be open to family and friends immediately following the funeral services at Lake Norman Church of Christ. Visitation will be  immediately preceding the funeral service.

 

Bea's internment ceremony will be in her hometown of  Parkersburg West Virginia, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery.  A family repass will be immediately following the ceremony at Stephenson United Methodist Church in Parkersburg.
