Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.
Blake Hunter Seefus passed away unexpectedly at the age of 25 on June 3rd from natural causes. He brought a ray of sunshine to any room he walked into and had grown into such a strong young man. After graduating from the NASCAR Institute and the Porsche Technical Program, he lived and worked in Arlington VA., and later Charlotte NC as a Porsche mechanic for 3 years before finding his true passion and returning to college to study history and political science. Blake’s goal was to become a college professor in these fields.
Blake was a kind and empathetic young man who valued people for who they were regardless of socioeconomic status, race, religion, or beliefs. He became an avid reader over the past several years with interests ranging from religion, politics, history, and socio economics and had acquired hundreds of books from his travels and working at Barnes and Noble. Blake, like his sister Madison, had a big love for hockey. He always wore a Los Angeles Kings or Carolina Hurricanes hat, or shirt and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends watching the playoffs. When he wasn’t studying or working, Blake loved to hang out with his family and a close-knit group of friends.
He shared an interest in making craft cocktails with his stepmom, Helene, and had just started a part time job at TopGolf with plans to be a bartender while going to college full time.
Blake was the beloved son of Jeanne and Doug Seefus and stepson of Helene Johnson. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Madison, his grandparents, Henry and Mary Hunter and Jack and Maria Seefus, his Aunts Cindy, Tina, and Laura and Uncle Steve. In addition, his close cousins, Tiffani and Jordyn Japec and Cade and Hailey Balma as well as many other relatives across the country. He was preceded by his paternal grandmother, Barbara Seefus.
Blake will also be greatly missed by his three closest childhood friends, Josh S., Josh K., and Dwayne who were like brothers to him, along with many other friends. He also left behind his two adoring German Shepards, Harley, and Ryder who Blake loved to spend time with.
