Bobby Dean Barrett

Bobby Dean Barrett, 70, passed away on March 11, 2021. He was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Willard and Helen Barrett.

Along with his parents, He is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Barrett.

Bobby was a Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a sailor on the USS Ticonderoga. He retired from a decades long career at the Charlotte Observer. 

Bobby is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Donald) Barrett Dulin and Rebecca (Van) Burch; nephews, Ned Robbins, Steve Robbins, James Wood, Jr., and Joshua Wood; and nieces, Michele Robbins and Shannon Martin.

Bobby was an avid Ohio State Buckeye’s fan. He loved spending time with his friends, fishing, and playing pool. He was a patron of The Tropicana Club in Cornelius.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
