Boyce Dale Nixon

Boyce Nixon, 90 years old, went to be with the Lord on August 15th, 2019.

He was the son of the late Sid and Florence Nixon. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Margie Robinson and brother, Marvin Nixon.

He leaves behind his beautiful and devoted wife, Grace Nixon of 68 years; children, Vickie Malcom, Danny Nixon, Lisa Gadd, and Chad Nixon; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley McClure, and Vivian Kiser; and brother, Eddie Donaldson.

Boyce retired from Duke Power after 40 years of service. He absolutely loved working in the garden, going on yearly fishing trips to the Outer Banks with his coworkers, was an awesome handy man...jack of all trades and master of many. He loved reading the newspaper as well as his Bible and devotions from the Upper Room each morning. He will be so missed but one day we will live together with him in heaven with Jesus for eternity.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 pm, Monday, August 19, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Oakdale. Funeral services will follow immediately at 5:00 pm, also at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
