Bud Edward Nofziger

Lowell “Bud” Edward Nofziger, 95, of Mooresville, NC passed away on August 2, 2022. He was born on September 25, 1926 in Archbold, Ohio to the late Franklin and Dolores Nofziger.

Bud was a US. Army veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a master wood worker and could build anything. He even volunteered at the Raptor Center helping them to build cages for injured birds and birds of prey. He was a lifetime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius where he loved to volunteer for any church event. Bud was also and avid fisherman, but a terrible golfer. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Ila Nofziger; daughter, Debra Whitt; and brother, Robert Nofziger.

He is survived by his son, Michael Nofziger; sister, Rose Bodette; granddaughters, Jessi Elliott (Josh), Jennie Sibley (Todd); and 7 great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius. The family will receive friends and family for visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service.

Following the service Bud will be laid to rest next to his wife in the church cemetery.
