Calvin Haigler

Calvin Griff Haigler, 96, of Denver, NC passed away on February 15, 2018. He was born in Fort Mill, SC on January 16, 1922 to the late Adam Baxter Haigler and Mary Ethel Haigler.

Calvin was a veteran from the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed gardening, working outside; and loved his church’s, including his current church Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mae Squires; brother, Paul Haigler; sister, Mildred Williams.

He is survived by his son, Stuart Steven Haigler and Fiancé, Hong of Waxhaw, NC; son, Tom Haigler and wife, Linda of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Carrie Hillman, Geoffrey Haigler, Lauren Smith; great-grandchild, Colton Smith; sisters, Yvonne Morton, Betty Vita. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his care giver, Scottie Barker.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Fairfield United Methodist Church, Denver, NC. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
