Carmin Jade Schelling

August 18, 1992 — June 30, 2022

Carmin Jade Schelling, 29, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on June 30, 2022.  She was born on August 18, 1992, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Carmin is survived by her father, Brad Schelling; mother, Donna Greene; stepmother, Becky Schelling; sister and brother-in-law, Brianna and John Collier; sisters Emory Schelling and Ava Schelling; grandmothers Jean Greene and Dee Schelling; aunts and uncles, Chuck and Lynda Greene, James Avery, Scott Schelling, Kim Olsen, Mark Sylar; nephew Nolan Collier and many loving cousins.

Carmin possessed a keen intelligence, quick wit, and effortless beauty.  She was a fierce competitor and always quick to laugh. She was both fearless and thoughtful.  Her strong work ethic would often have her up before the sun, and she was rarely late or absent.  Carmin had a great love of animals.  Dogs especially were her number one love, and she seemed to be number one to them as well.  She was creative, artistic and held a great appreciation for music of all kinds.

She was an extraordinary athlete and played softball from the age of 5 through high school for Hopewell High School as well as on several travelling teams.  She loved sports and religiously followed both the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers.  Carmin was the kind of fan who would watch every game of every season.  She won the family fantasy football championship more than once.

Carmin had and will continue to have a lasting impact on many.  As we come to terms with her untimely passing, we remember her courage and strength and hold close the many beautiful qualities that made Carmin the person we love dearly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16th from 5:00pm-8:00pm, and memorial service Sunday, July 17th at 2:00pm, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road Huntersville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bethlehem Haven Women’s Shelter (www.bethlehemhaven.org) on behalf of Carmin Schelling.
