Carolyn Shively Simpson

Carolyn Shively Simpson, 81, of Huntersville, NC passed away on March 26, 2021. She was born in Greensboro, MD on March 24, 1939.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Phyllis Evans and Jean Nickerson.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Laura (Robert Franklin) Simpson of Cornelius, NC; brother, Del Simpson of Camden, DE; grand children Del (Sarah) Simpson, III, Brittany Simpson, and Lilly Franklin; and great grandchildren Adyn Duke and Davey June.

Carolyn loved her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking walks outs. Lewes Beach was her favorite place in the world.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman or hospice of the donor’s choice.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery. Service time is currently pending.
