Celinda Saavedra Burga

Celinda Saavedra Burga, 78 of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022.  Celinda was born in Lima, Peru on February 20, 1944.  She is survived by her sisters, Esther, Geno, and Delicia, her children, Catherine Davis, Manuelita del Rosario Vicuña Saavedra, and Jonathan Torrel, and her grandchildren Steve, Sofia, Emma, Dylan, Isabella and John Alexander.

Celinda was a loving, kind and especially forgiving human being.  She inspired everyone around her, even through her illness by finding joy in every moment.  She was a dedicated daughter, mother and tia who is best known for greeting everyone with a warm smile.  Celinda was a dedicated homemaker, with a can-do attitude, who cooked delicious food, knitted clothing and did crafts to help her family.  Since moving to the states, she enjoyed living in both North Carolina and Florida, spending time at the beach, the lake and at home with family and friends.  Her favorite pastimes during her final years were completing her daily word search and going to Peruvian festivals with her family.  She will be missed by all those who love her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  The family will entertain friends and loved ones at their home immediately following.
