Charles Dean Furr

Charles Dean Furr, 81, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2025.

Charlie was born in Charlotte on December 18, 1943 to the late Harry Wilson and Carol Dean Furr. He graduated from Harding High School and went on to work for Pelton and Crane where he retired in the early 2000's.

Along with his parents Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Charlsie Diane Furr; brother Michael Furr; sister Susan Whisonant and grandson Daniel Waldon Puckett. 

He is survived by his three daughters, Dawn Furr Bonagura (Ken) of Sherrills Ford, Wendy Furr Overbey (Kim) of Charlotte and Misty Furr Valjevac (Daniel) of Concord; grandchildren, Kevin Bonagura (Kim), Jamie Bonagura, Elexess Overbey, Tera Bishop (Joshua), Matthew Puckett (Kalyn), Brittany Soper, Charles Guice, Sofia Valjevac, Parker Valjevac; great grand children, Luella, Scarlett, Winnie and Bailey.

Charlie and Charlsie were married for 42 years before her passing in 2004. They enjoyed raising their three daughters and watching their grand children and great grand children grow. Charlie enjoyed collecting all different types of things, such as hammers, tape measures and Case pocket knives. He also enjoyed auctions and lively conversations. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Services will be held privately with the family.
