Cindy Jeanne Corneau, 59, of Mooresville, formerly of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4th, 2021.
Cindy Corneau was born in Hartford, CT on January 2, 1962 to the late Richard Perry Johnston and Carolyn Marie (Noble) Johnston. Along with her parents, her sister Dianne C. Buzzetti of Connecticut precedes her in death.
She is survived by her son, Geoffrey M. Corneau of North Carolina; daughter, Kelli-Ayn M. Corneau of North Carolina; sister, Deborah L. Johnston of Connecticut; brother, Craig D. Johnston of Connecticut; and brother, Bruce R. Johnston and his wife Marianne of Nebraska.
Cindy grew up in East Hartford, CT and graduated from George J. Penney High School in 1980. She spent most of her adult life in Cornelius, NC raising her two children. She always enjoyed arts and crafts and sold multiple hand-made wooden products at various craft shows in the area. Over the past few years, she became an avid fan of cruising in the Caribbean with her family over Christmas. She was always up for a vacation, visiting multiple locations and always enjoyed the beach. She dearly loved her family dogs, especially Roxie Corneau who passed away in 2021.
She will be remembered by her love for crafts, traveling, and loving her two amazing children, which she always encouraged to be active and travel.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Both the visitation and memorial service are open to all friends and family.
