Clara Zoe Laborde

Clara Laborde, 95, of Denver, NC was born into eternal life on March 31, 2024. Clara was born in Havana, Cuba on July 5, 1928 to the late Carlos and Rosario Jiménez.                                                                                     

Clara immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1965 and, after a few years in Chicago, settled in sunny Miami, Florida. She built a beautiful life there with her cherished family. In 2013, she relocated to Denver, NC, where she lived out the remainder of her life.

Clara’s greatest achievement was her beloved family. There was nothing she loved more than praising her grandchildren’s accomplishments, watching her great-grandchildren play in the driveway, or sharing her many words of wisdom. She was a pillar of strength and hope and her resilient spirit will be missed by many.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Caridad (Joe) Infanzon and Yvette (Efraín) Crespo; adored grandchildren Tammy Laborde, Frank Alonso, Jenny (Joe) Ramundo, Triana (Connor) Burgess, and Lauren Blanco; and dearest great-grandchildren Vincent, Jesus, Clara, Julia, Joey, Logan, and Jackson.

Along with her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Julio A. Laborde, and her beloved son, Julio Laborde.

A service will be held on April 8, 2024 for immediate family. Interment to follow at Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
