Dennis Robert Myers

Dennis Robert Myers, “Skeets”, 76, passed away on August 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Dennis was born on July 21, 1950, in Cheektowaga, New York, to the late Harold and Virginia Myers. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Myers Jr. and Michael F. Myers, and his beloved son, Matthew Myers.

Dennis shared 54 years of marriage with his loving wife, Barbara. Together, they built a life centered around family, laughter, and a love that carried them through more than five decades together. Dennis was a devoted husband and a loving and proud father to his children, Joelle, Matthew, Jaime, and Brian. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.

To many, Dennis was simply “Skeets.” He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, and had a way of making life a little more entertaining for the people around him.

He spent his working years at General Motors and in retirement, worked for the enjoyment of his favorite things, Buffalo Bills games, concerts and NASCAR. A lifelong Western New Yorker, he remained a loyal Bills and Sabres fan, which, as any Buffalonian knows, requires its own special combination of dedication, hope and humility.

More than anything, Dennis loved his family. He was immensely devoted to them. His charisma, love, and presence created memories they will carry with them always.

At this time, no public services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Dennis consider making a memorial donation to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, VIA Health Partners (Hospice Huntersville), or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A true original; there will never be another Skeets. Our dearly departed father will be remembered for the laughter and love he brought everywhere he went and to everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
