Deria Foster Moore

Deria Foster Moore, 96, of Greensboro, NC passed away on April 22, 2024.

She was born in Durham, NC on August 2,1927 to the late Roy and Margaret Foster, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy Foster Jr., and Margaret Jones.

In this life, Deria was a volunteer extraordinaire at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for over 30 years. She was a professional dietitian/nutritionist serving in both therapeutic and government service for over 30 years. Her spirit ascended on April 22, 2024 in hopes of being with the Blessed Mother Mary and Jesus and to continue to serve and to pray for those she leaves behind.

Deria is survived by her sister Gayle; daughters, Beryl and Maria; nieces, April, Gayle, Michelle. and Janine; nephew, Kevin; grandchildren, William, Camille, and Kyndall; great-grandchildren, William and Willow; grand nieces and nephews; and her beloved son-in-law, George.

There will be no visitation.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2715 Horse Pen Creek Rd. Greensboro, NC.

Deria’s inurnment will be held immediately following the funeral at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deria's memory to  either the St Francis Springs Prayer Center, 477 Grogan Rd. Stoneville, NC 27048 or The Franciscan Center 233 North Greene St. Greensboro, NC 27401.
