Donna Marie Kliefoth

Donna Marie Kliefoth, 77, of Cornelius, NC passed away on February 15, 2026. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 29, 1948 to the late Edward J. Powicki and Lillian A. Powicki.

Donna was the beloved wife of David Kliefoth for fifty years and a devoted mother to Vanessa Walter (Michael), Haley Kliefoth (Han) and Peter Kliefoth (Micah). She was a proud grandmother to Matilda and Sylvie Walter and Maggie and Gus Kliefoth. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Powicki and sister Andrea DeGarmo.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 6-8pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 11am at St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville, NC. The mass will also be live-streamed starting at 10:57am. For the live-stream link and instructions please see below.*

Donna grew up in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She went on to pursue a fulfilling career in teaching. Donna led a loving and well-traveled life, living abroad with David and her children in England for twelve adventurous years before returning to Chicago to continue raising her family and her career in education. 

A devout Catholic, Donna lived her life centered on faith, family and friendship. She loved nothing more than spending time with those she loved and creating lasting memories together. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donna’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
