Donna Roberta Snider Null, 92, of Huntersville, NC passed away on March 22th, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
Donna was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 1st, 1934, to the late Roland Snider and Freida Snider.
Along with her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Null, her brothers Roland Snider Jr., Norman Snider, and Gary Snider, and her sister Betty Snider Loer.
She is survived by her sons Howard (Carolyn) Tefft of Mooresville, NC and Kirk (Barbara) Tefft of Valdosta, GA; stepdaughter Nancy Sisler of Vass, NC; grandchildren Chad Hess, Howard Tefft III; Brandi Smith, Dana Smith, and Aaron Sisler along with 5 wonderful great grandchildren.
Donna was widely known for generously sharing her many creative talents, which included crafting, painting, needlework, and, most notably, cooking and baking. She took particular joy in baking Christmas cookies, using cherished molds she had safeguarded since childhood, a beloved tradition she maintained throughout her life. An avid fisherwoman, Donna passed this passion on to her sons through numerous trips, including memorable visits to Manitoulin Island. She also had a deep love of music, playing both the organ and piano and contributing her talents to church choirs over the years. At one point singing with 3 generations together.
As a Certified Social Worker, Donna drew upon her experiences as both a military spouse and a minister’s wife to become a compassionate and trusted source of comfort, guidance, and support to those in need.
Loving, devoted, and steadfast, Donna’s character was evident in the lives she touched—especially among her many friends and her entire family. Thank you Donna for bringing light into our lives.
In her honor, donations may be made to Compassion International at compassion.com/give/donate or Christmount Christian Assembly, Scholarship Fund for Autism, 222 Fern Way, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
