Donna Cudd Young

Donna Cudd Young, 78, of Stanley, North Carolina passed away January 26, 2026.

She was born October 14, 1947 to the late Otha Preston Cudd and Violet Pender Cudd. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her son, Ashley Young; half-brother, Otha Cudd, Jr.; and nephew, Phillip Cudd.

Donna found great joy in serving her church and church family, loved to travel, and above all, loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, David Young; daughters, Sheri Krauth (Carl) and Meredith Berry (Lee); grandchildren, Caleb Young (fiancé Janeen), Cade Krauth (Sydney), Nolan Berry and Grant Berry; two nieces, Bronwyn Caldwell and Phyllis Powers; as well as many beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Salem United Methodist Church, 378 N. Pilot Knob Rd., Denver, North Carolina with Pastor Eric Lane officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to Salem United Methodist Church, 378 N. Pilot Knob Rd., Denver, NC 28037 or Temple Baptist Church, 1801 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28403.
