Dylan Raine Tew Tilles

April 24, 1997 — September 17, 2022

Dylan Raine Tew Tilles, 25, Huntersville, NC passed away at her home on September 17th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Dylan loved being a mother and wife. She enjoyed the beach, including her recent trip to Myrtle, her garden filled with basil, peppers, and tomatoes. She loved farmer’s markets and festivals, autumn leaves, and was a huge fan of Halloween.  Despite her illness, she was always positive, always appreciative and wanted to help whoever she could.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, and friend. Dylan had strong opinions, a strong faith, and her cheerful personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born April 24, 1997, in Mobile, Alabama; daughter of Scott and Cindy Tew.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John O. Marlin.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Austin Tilles, and her beautiful daughter, Alice (Ali) Tilles. Others left to cherish her memory include her parents Scott and Cindy Tew; her siblings, Katherine Mosley and her husband Logan; her youngest brother, Isaac Tew; Simon Wilding and his wife Whitney; her maternal grandmother Joyce Marlin; her paternal grandparents Walter and Peggy Tew; her niece Paige Mosley; her Aunt Kim Marlin; Uncle and Aunt Greg and Danette Marlin; Uncle and Aunt Steve and Lisa Tew; Uncle Randy Tew, her sister-in-law Kaitlynn Nelson, numerous other family members and friends, especially her best girlfriend, Maddy Heck, whom she loved dearly and was in constant contact. She was well cared for by the nurses and staff of Novant Health and her oncologist, Dr. Aileen Deng.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on September 20th at New Song Church 10308 Bailey Rd Unit 415, Cornelius, NC, Pastor Clyde Godwin, officiating. Friends and family will be received immediately following the service.  Interment at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens will be private. Dylan was passionate about many things including her Christian faith and the important work of the Community Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dylan can be made to NorthCross Church P.O. Box 2275, Cornelius, NC 28031 and the Community Pregnancy Center at 212 Caldwell Ave. Mooresville, NC 28115.
