Eamon Mason Leary

Eamon Mason Leary, 16, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on June 6, 2026.

Born on October 6, 2009, Eamon brought energy, laughter and kindness to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had just completed his sophomore at Hough High School and was a talented athlete who loved competition and being part of a team. A member of the junior varsity soccer team, Eamon also enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Eamon will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and remarkable ability to make people laugh. His genuine kindness and loyal friendship helped him build a beautiful community of friends who loved him deeply. Though his life was far too short, the impact he made on his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and community will endure for years to come.

Eamon is survived by his loving mother, Kerri Fitzgerald; father, Jonathan Leary; sister, Logan Leary; grandparents, John and Kathy Fitzgerald, Margaret Leary, and George Leary; aunt and uncle, Jackie and Zack Fine; uncle, Noah Leary; aunt, Olivia Jones; and cousins, Colin Fine, Brendan Fine, and Hayden Jones. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, teammates, and classmates who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. A celebration of Eamon's life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius.
