God called Eloise to her eternal home on the morning of November 6, 2024 to be with Him eternally.
Born in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of James Robert Phillips and Fannie Mae Helms Phillips, Eloise was the 5th of 9 children. She graduated from Long Creek High School.
Eloise is preceded in death by her husband Ray W. Lockler, Sr. of 60 years; her brothers Brooks Phillips, David Phillips, Howard Phillips, & Foy Lee Phillips; and sisters Virginia Pennington, Bobbie Wilson, & Carolyn Watkins.
She is survived by her sons Woody Lockler and Steve (Debbie) Lockler; grandchildren Joseph Lockler, Adam (Jennifer) Lockler, Crystal (Brian) Cox; great-grandchildren Ava, Aubree, Adalynn, Emerson, Bryson, & Brody; brother Gary Neil Phillips; brother-in-law Mason Watkins; and sisters-in-law Sue Phillips, Vivian Hill, Jane Vaughn, & Bonnie Gentry.
Eloise loved her family fiercely and her beloved church, Pleasant Grove Methodist, where she was a life-long member. She was always active at church and The Order of The Eastern Star, Long Creek chapter.
Memorials can be made to Pleasant Grove UM Cemetery Fund.
Pallbearers are Joseph Lockler, Adam Lockler, Brian Cox, Neil Phillips, Jacob Bolick, Rodney Bolick, & Davie Phillips (as an alternate pallbearer)

A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Grove UMC in Charlotte on Sunday, November 10. A burial at Pleasant Grove UMC Cemetery will take place following the service.
