Eric Andrew Marquardt, 50, of Charlotte, NC passed away on January 20, 2026.

He was born in West Allis, WI on July 12, 1975 to Rembert A. Marquardt and Gail M. Marquardt.

Eric is survived by his devoted wife, Ariel A. Marquardt; his loving parents, Rembert A. Marquardt and Gail M. Marquardt; his brother, Todd Marquardt; his sister, Amy Mendrella; his son, Nicholas King; and his three stepchildren, Collin, Carter, and Lillian. Each of them will carry forward the legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty that Eric embodied.

A proud Navy veteran, Eric served his country with honor, instilling a deep sense of duty and commitment that defined his character. He attended Southern Illinois University where he formed lasting bonds, particularly with his fraternity brothers from Sigma Pi, whose camaraderie he cherished throughout his life.

Eric was a passionate sports fan, known for his unwavering support of the Chicago Cubs and the Denver Broncos. He often filled the air with excitement on game days, rallying friends and family to share in the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

In his personal life, Eric was an avid animal lover, finding joy and companionship in his three dogs: Hudson, Nala, and Daisy. They brought warmth and love to his home, reflecting his caring and nurturing nature.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Salt Water Social in Denver, CO.  The family requests that guests wear business casual attire.
