Eugene Mack Puckett III

Mr. Eugene Mack Puckett, III, 62, of Denver, NC died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at CMC-Lincolnton. Born August 12, 1949 in Mecklenburg County he was the son of Eugene Mack Puckett, Jr. and the late Edna Ritch Puckett. Mr. Puckett was a retired truck driver for 25 years and Teamsters with Local 71. He was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville and also attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Sherrills Ford where he was a Cub Scout Leader. He also was a little league coach and a volunteer at East Lincoln Christian Ministries. A very generous and loved man in the community, he never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday August 18 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allan Purtill officiating assisted by Rev. J.E. Wayland, Jr. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Patty; sons, Casey and Chris; daughter and son-in-law, Cristy and Shane Burton; granddaughters, Madison and Jordan Burton; father, Eugene Puckett, Jr. and wife Bobbie Jo; sister, Patti Tilley and husband Tony; brother, Larry Puckett and wife Robin and extended family.
