Florence Grasset Alexander

Florence Grasset Alexander, 102, of Charlotte, NC passed away December 2, 2025.

Florence was born in Straubville, North Dakota on January 10, 1923 to the late Charles Samuel Grasset and Lucy Groux Grasset.

Along with her parents, Florence is preceded in death by her husband, “Jack” Herman Thomas Alexander, and sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilson and Mrs. Irene Kemp.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Gale Woerner and husband Erik, Mrs. Lucie Lucke; Frank Lucke; grandsons, Mr. Jared Woerner and wife Ginny; Mr. Kyle Lucke, Mr. Marcus Lucke and wife Grace; great- granddaughter, Harper Woerner; and sister-in-law, Brenda Armstrong.

Florence was the oldest members of WMPC and was the first person to receive the Senior Life Achievement Award. She was a member of the Mary Nash Bible Class at WMPC. She also received Women of the Church Lifetime Membership Pin at WMPC and sang in the choir as a member of circle #1.

Florence also enjoyed cutting grass, working in her garden, and loved being outside.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2025 at at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church, 4700 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at the church at 12:00 pm, followed by the burial at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s memory to Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 4700 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216 or Novant Hospice, 324 N. McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
