Florence Jacqueline Bridges, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2024, in Mooresville, North Carolina. Born on November 14, 1935, in Ellerbe, North Carolina, Jackie was a woman of remarkable strength and a take charge personality that shaped the lives of those around her.
Jackie dedicated her life to her family, and nothing brought her more pride than her grandsons and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and cherished the time spent with her grandsons as she babysat them while they were growing up. Each moment was filled with laughter and love, allowing her to see the admirable characteristics of her son, Joey, reflected brightly in each of them. Jackie was particularly proud of the pictures of her grand and great-grandchildren, showcasing them to all, embodying the joy they brought into her life.
She is survived by her brother, Ed Bridges; her son, Joey (Cindi) Bridges; her grandchildren, Drew, J.T., and Jacob Bridges; and her great-grandchildren, Camden, Liam, Mila, Kyson, Asher, and Finley Bridges. These family members will carry her legacy forward, holding dear the countless memories they created together.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, John E. Bridges and Maude Haywood Bridges Spake, and her brother, James Fredrick Bridges. She leaves behind a profound impact on her family and friends, who will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support.
Her legacy of love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her, as they celebrate a life well-lived, guided by the values she instilled in them all. Jackie will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories of her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church in Denver, NC. There will be a visitation prior to the service starting at 1:00pm.
