Frances Greco

Frances “Frannie” Greco, 92 of Cornelius, NC passed away on July 11, 2025. Frannie was born in Morristown, NJ on March 26, 1933 to the late Patrick Mauro and Virginia DeSando Mauro. She grew up in Middlesex, New Jersey where she met her husband, Vincent. They married on January 30, 1955. Their daughters Janis and Robin completed their family.

They moved to Colorado in 1971. Frannie devoted her life to her family, friends and serving God. She adored her husband, Vincent. He was the center of her life. She kept a lovely home and enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining friends and family. She led an active life playing bridge and golf. Frannie was open seen at their church in Castle Rock, Colorado, at one time serving as Director of Religious Education.

In 2004, they moved to Mooresville, North Carolina to be nearer their daughter, Janis. As expected she cultivated a large circle of friends, hosting bridge nights or “soup group”. She was active at St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville as a eucharistic minister and various bible studies.

Along with her parents, Frannie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent, brother Nicholas Mauro, and sisters Patricia Lefebvre and Luann Finnegan.

She is survived by her daughters Janis Greco and Robin Wright, grandchildren Jarod Martin, wife Lisa and great-grandson son Jace, granddaughter Caroline Whisennant, husband Jeff, and great-grandchildren Pepper, Porter and Caelian grandson Daniel Wright, wife Lauren, and great-grandchildren Sienna and John, granddaughter Jesse Lewis, husband Patrick, great-grandchildren River and Daniel and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She lived her final years with her daughter Janis in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Frannie will be remembered by many with her smile and sparkling blue eyes…and always a “God Loves You”. She will be missed by all her knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 17 atat St Therese Catholic Church, 217 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville NC.
