Frona Jean McMennamin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frona J. McMennamin, 74, of Mooresville, NC on Sunday, July 5, 2026, surrounded by her family at Atrium Health CMC Main Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Frona was born on August 27, 1951 in Blacksburg, SC, the daughter of the late Martha Ann Grant.  She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Nichols.  She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Michael Druzbik, of Cornelius, NC; her three cherished grandsons, Tyler Druzbik (17), Christian Druzbik (16), and Crew Druzbik (13); her stepfather, Sydney Grant, of Mooresville, NC; and the Gordon (Pat & Gene) and Tessener (Ed, Nancy, Stephen, Ali, Lauren, and Matthew) family members of Belmont and Charlotte, NC, as well as Fort Mill, SC.

Frona worked in the hospitality sector for over 25 years.  She enjoyed meeting and helping people from all over the country.  For the last 5 years, Frona was a devoted caregiver to Sydney Grant, her stepfather.

Frona was a kind and compassionate person who offered comfort and care to those in need.  Her faith was undeniable.  Frona's smile was beautiful and her laugh was infectious.  Her favorite activities included trips to the beach, going fishing, attending car races, and enjoying all foods made with chocolate.  She dearly loved her family.  Her grandsons were the loves of her life.  She treasured all the special time she spent with them.

Frona will be forever loved and will always remain in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Atrium Health - CMC Main Hospital, ICU Stroke Unit, in Charlotte, NC for their exemplary care and compassion over the last 2 weeks.

Frona is in the care of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Huntersville, NC.  Arrangements are being made for a private family memorial service.
