Gene Anthony Tayloe, 82, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on March 8, 2024.

He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on March 24, 1941 to the late Eugene G. Tayloe and Gladys S. Tayloe. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn H. Tayloe and his brother, James Tayloe.

Gene was a proud Army veteran and in his free time, enjoyed camping, playing his trumpet, watching football (especially the Washington Commanders), and spending time with his dogs, Buttons and Dolly. Gene loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan T. McLaughlin; granddaugher, Jennifer F. McLaughlin; and his younger brother, Lanny F. Tayloe.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
