Jan 6, 1957 — Aug 16, 2026

Glenn Bryan Watson, 69, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and integrity. Born on January 6, 1957, in Cumberland, Maryland, Bryan’s life was a testament to hard work, deep family bonds, and genuine kindness that touched all who knew him.

Bryan grew up in Cumberland, where he graduated from Fort Hill High School. He pursued his passion for learning at Frostburg State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. His academic achievements laid a strong foundation for the remarkable career that would follow.

For 39 dedicated years, Bryan worked with the Dana/Wix/Affinia/Mann+Hummel Corporation, where his commitment and professionalism left a lasting imprint. Bryan retired in 2024, closing a significant chapter marked by steadfast dedication and respect among colleagues.

Bryan’s greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Kimberly Ann Watson, who shared with him a beautiful journey of love and partnership. Together they raised two sons, Ashton Bryan Watson (Kelly) and Evan John Watson, in whom Bryan instilled his values and zest for life. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Ashton Watson II, Heath Watson, Parks Watson, and Collins Watson, all of whom brought immense happiness and pride to Bryan's life.

Alongside his immediate family, Bryan is mourned by his brothers-in-law, Albert "Tad" Shields and John Schroyer (Cathy); nephews Brent Mendelson (Jeanne), Blair Shields (Ginna), and Brendan Shields; nieces Chrissa Cheverchko (Eric) and Callie Rullie (John); and 3 great nieces & 3 great nephews. Each family member carries with them memories of Bryan's unwavering support and love.

Bryan was predeceased by his father, C. Glenn Watson; his mother, Ruth Jane (Rinker) Watson; and his sister, Judith Ann Shields, each of whom held special places in his heart and helped shape the man he became.

Bryan’s passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. He was a sports lover, avidly cheering on the Panthers and Hurricanes. Bryan found joy on the golf course, loved relaxing at the beach, and treasured every moment spent with his family. Known for his warmth and loyal nature, Bryan's circle of friends and extended family will remember him for his generosity, easy laughter, and the genuine care with which he engaged those around him.
