Grace Cascio Marconi, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. Throughout her long and meaningful life, Grace embodied devotion to family, quiet strength, and enduring love.

Born on August 6, 1933, Grace’s life was marked by her unwavering loyalty to those she held dear. She was the devoted wife of the late Enrico C. Marconi, whose memory remained a source of comfort and strength for her throughout the years. Together they built a close-knit family, rooted in compassion, respect, and deep affection. Grace and Enrico’s legacy extends through the lives of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—each one a testament to the values they upheld.

Grace is fondly remembered by her surviving family: her sons Joseph Marconi (Jane) and Henry Marconi (Cathy), daughter-in-law Susan Nurmi, and her treasured grandchildren Emma (James) Bologna and Christopher (Amanda) Marconi. She was fortunate to witness the joy of the next generation as her great-grandchildren Sofia, Olivia, and Nicholas Bologna brought light into her later years. In addition, Grace is remembered by several nieces and nephews whose lives she touched with her warmth and wisdom.

She faced loss and sorrow with quiet dignity, mourning the passing of her devoted husband, Enrico, and her beloved son, Salvatore H. Marconi. Despite these losses, Grace continued to show resilience, providing a foundation of support for her family.

She had a remarkable gift for sewing and spent her life as a talented seamstress, creating beautiful clothing and providing alterations for family and friends. Her generosity was stitched into every piece she made, using her talents to bring comfort and joy to those she loved. Even during the last five years of her life at Shad's Landing, her caring spirit never wavered. She lovingly made handmade bibs for many of the residents, leaving a lasting impression through her kindness, creativity, and selfless heart.

Grace’s kindness, patience, and grace of spirit defined her interactions with all who knew her. She nurtured lifelong relationships and built a legacy centered on strong family bonds. Her ability to offer wise guidance, gentle care, and loving encouragement will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation in her memory will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner in Huntersville, located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. As we say goodbye to Grace Cascio Marconi, we reflect with gratitude on a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will endure for generations. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
