Harold Thomas Hilburn, born on February 3, 1940, in Lumberton, North Carolina, peacefully departed this life on February 20, 2026. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose warm presence and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Hilburn; sons T. Wayne Hilburn and Randy Keith Hilburn; sisters Barbara Hammonds and Lynda Johnson; along with his adored grandchildren: Joshua Hilburn and Jennifer Stone. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Anson Stone, Nathaniel Hilburn, Henry Hilburn, and Hunter Hilburn. Harold's family extends to several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his spirit and love.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Ray Hilburn; mother, Eula Sellers Hilburn; and sister, Betty Chavis.
A devoted member of the Lake Harvest Church of God, Harold was known for his enthusiastic spirit and love for life. He dedicated over 30 years to his career at A&P Tea Company, where his hard work and commitment were well known among friends and colleagues. Harold relished the thrill of cruising and traveling, always seeking new adventures. In his leisure time, Harold found great joy in fishing from his kayak, where he experienced the peace of nature.
A visitation to honor Harold's life will be held on February 24, 2026, at Raymer-Kepner in Huntersville, North Carolina, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, February 25, 2026, at Lake Harvest Church of God in Mooresville, North Carolina, starting at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Huntersville First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Harold Thomas Hilburn will be remembered for his love, generosity, and the indelible mark he left on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue through the lives he influenced and the memories he helped create.
