Helen Veronica Stone

Helen Veronica Stone, 79, of Mooresville, NC passed away on January 2, 2021. She was born in Weston, West Virginia on July 4, 1941 to the late Harry and Minerva Irene Blumberg Gasoff.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ross Stone.

Helen is survived by her son, Steven Stone of Cornelius NC, daughter-in-law, Rebecca and grandchildren Riley and Bella; her daughter Sheri Likes of Pensacola FL, son-in-law, Brian and grandchildren Rachel, Sara and Garrett. 

Helen enjoyed reading and loved to travel, especially to the beach. She was a substitute teacher and recipe book editor. In her free time she was an avid knitter, and over her lifetime donated thousands of hand-knitted caps to hospitals to distribute to newborn babies.

She will be laid next to her husband at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN.

Services will be held at a later date.
