Hugo Rangel Torres, born on July 16, 1989, in Mexico City, Mexico, was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, whose life was unexpectedly cut short when he passed away in his sleep on May 24, 2025. He was 35 years old.
An ardent entrepreneur, Hugo owned his own business and thrived on the challenges and rewards that came with being self-driven and passionate about his work. Always embracing risk, he approached each day with a sense of optimism that was contagious. His cheerful demeanor and personable nature allowed him to connect deeply with those around him, always striving to bring a smile to anyone's face that he could.
Hugo's commitment to his family was unwavering. He adored his daughter, Sherlyn Rangel Hernandez, placing her at the center of everything he did. His love extended beyond his immediate family to include his parents, Martha E. Torres Campos and Salvador S. Rangel. As the youngest sibling, Hugo shared a special bond with his brothers, Carols A. Rangel and Ivan A. Rangel, as well as with their respective families: Carols and his wife Fabiola, and Ivan with Rebeca. Hugo also treasured his role as an uncle to his nephew Ethan Rangel and nieces Jackie, Ayleen, Karla, and Zoe Rangel.
Hugo was known for reaching out to family and friends, regularly checking in on them and offering motivation through his positive outlook on life. His legacy is one of love, support, and encouragement, with memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by visitation from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Raymer - Kepner (Huntersville), located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
Hugo Rangel Torres will be deeply missed but will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
