Jacqueline LaTeese Yuchniewicz

March 11, 1924 — April 16, 2020

Jacqueline LaTeese Yuchniewicz, 96, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away on April 16, 2020.

Jackie was born March 11, 1924 to the late Fred Albert Mix and Mildred LaTeese Bennett.  In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Pappa Joe) Yuchniewicz; son, Jonathan Yuchniewicz; daughter, Joie Kulikov; sister, Joan Iva Mix; and brothers, Richard Albert Mix and Donald Clifford Mix.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Melissa Loraine Hinojosa and Alexa Lauren Grice, as well as her great-grandchildren, Addie, Connor, and Carter.

Jackie was born in Nebraska and moved during the Great Depression as a young girl with her family to New York so her father could find work.  She met Joe in New York and they were married in January 1946 in New York.  Her husband Joe developed Parkinson’s in the late 70s early 80s, and she took great care of him.  She was such a great example of a loving, devoted, supportive, and industrious wife. She found work to support her family, and took wonderful care of her husband until he died in April 2002.  Seeing her dedication to her husband was refreshing and a reflection of her love for and dedication to her God Jehovah and the vow she took before Him.  She will be remembered mostly for her hospitality and joy.  She was always positive and kind no matter what life threw at her.  She lost her daughter in 2010, lost her son in 1977 and took care of her husband through all the challenges his illness brought, but she never lost that beautiful disposition and infectious smile.  Through all the loss that she experienced, she maintained her hope in the resurrection, and now she is in God’s memory and awaiting the time when Jehovah calls and all those in the memorial tombs will come out (John 5:28).  We share her hope and look forward to the fulfillment of the promise in Revelation 21:3, 4.

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no public visitation or services held at this time.  To allow friends and loved ones to join in Jackie's memorial service, Zoom invitations will be sent out by her family.
