James "Jim" Boyden Plyler

James “Jim” Boyden Plyler, 91, Cornelius, NC passed away on April 5, 2021. He was born on September 17, 1929 in Mecklenburg County to the late Theodore A. Plyler and Lois Riggs Plyler.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret; brother, Kenneth; sister, Mary Sue.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Davey and husband Dean; brother, Curtis Plyler and his wife Helen; sister-in-law, Margaret Plyler; dear friend, Marie Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He was also a member of the VFW Post of Charlotte 9488, and American Legion Post 321.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC. Following the graveside the family will receive friends at the VFW Post 9488, 2831 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC.
