James Rogers

James Rogers, known to his loved ones as Jimmy, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved wife, Lu Rogers, and daughter, Briana Pettit. Born in Mecklenburg County, NC, on June 21, 1964, Jimmy lived a life full of love, and cherished moments.

Jimmy was a man of faith who cherished his family above all else. His warm personality and great sense of humor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A caring individual, Jimmy never hesitated to lend a helping hand and welcomed everyone he met with open arms.  One of Jimmy's greatest joys in life was playing golf, and he was able to fulfill one of his dreams by visiting the Pebble Beach Golf Club with his wife and a group of friends. Besides golfing, he also enjoyed cooking on his grill and spending quality time with his loved ones.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his wife Lu Rogers, daughter Briana Pettit, son Connan Pettit and daughter-in-law Tiffany, grandchildren Jake and Haley Pettit. He is also survived his step-father Paul Christenbury, brothers David Rogers and Mike Rogers along with their wives Jo Ellen and Judy, and three small fur babies, Bella, Noah and Gigi.

He is preceded in death by his mother Frances Christenbury.

A visitation in memory of Jimmy will be held on June 17th from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Raymer - Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville. The funeral service will take place on June 18th at 11:00 AM at Grace Covenant East Lincoln in Denver.

Jimmy's warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and cherished by so many.
