Janet Schubert

Janet McNeill Schubert, 78, of Huntersville, NC passed away on August 4, 2019. She was born in Paterson, NJ on July 25, 1941 to the late James McNeill and Mary Fedyn McNeill.

She attended Hawthorne High School in New Jersey and later graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.

Jan was a Physical Therapist for over 50 years, moving through the ranks of Physical Therapistto VP of Rehabilitation for one of the country’s largest nursing home companies. She ended her career doing what she loved, providing in-home care to the elderly and she retired in 2012.

Jan was the most amazing wife, mom, Grammy, mentor and friend anyone could have dreamed of having. Nothing was more important than her family - she was a fixture at ballfields and always made the family’s birthday lasagnas, holiday casseroles and coffee cakes. She spent her retirement years helping take grandchildren to their activities, playing bridge, and simply being happy at home with her husband of 54 years.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Schubert; daughter, Kimberly Bogert; son, Daniel Schubert, Jr.; son, Scott Schubert; her brother, Jim McNeill; and six grandchildren: Alex, Andersen, Sadie Ann, Trey, Thomas, and Gabi. There is not a person who ever met her that did not love her gentle loving spirit.

A Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 8 at 5 pm at Davidson College Presbyterian Church Lingle Chapel, 100 N. Main Street, Davidson, NC 28036.
