Joe Arthur Steele, Sr.
May 8, 1929 — January 4, 2018
Joe Arthur Steele, Sr., 88 of Mooresville, passed away January 4, 2018 at his home. He was born in Davidson on May 8, 1929 to the late Jack and Sadie Steele. He loved being outdoors where he could enjoy the sunshine and also enjoy his favorite hobbies such as fishing, hunting and tinkering around. Joe also loved his church, Liberty Baptist, in Mooresville.
Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife; Ruby, and two great grandchildren; Brianna and Wyatt.
He is survived by his daughter; Brenda S. Rudisill (Truman) of Lincolnton, and his son; Joe Arthur Steele, Jr. (Tonya) of Cornelius, five grand children and eight great grand children.
A funeral service will be held Sunday January 7, 2018 at 3:00 at Liberty Baptist Church in Mooresville. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, 171 Johnson Diary Road, Mooresville, NC 28115
Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
