John Floyd Broom, Jr.

John Floyd Broom, Jr., 75, of Stanley, North Carolina, passed away on November 16, 2022. John was born in South Carolina on April 3, 1947 to the late John Floyd Broom, Sr. and Doris Jean Pierce Broom.

He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Barbara Bullock Broom; son, John "Buck" Broom, lll (Karen) of East Flat Rock, NC; daughter, Tracy Whitehurst Burnette (Scott) of Mills River, NC; son, Michael Whitehurst (Christy) of East Flat Rock, NC; daughter, Lisa Baker Dunn (Michael) of North Topsail Beach, NC; son, Ryan Baker (Courtney) of Mount Holly, NC; sister, Melva B. Sexton (Richard) of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Kathy B. Williams (Chris) of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Ronald Eugene Broom (Cathy) of Rock Hill, SC; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his four-legged best friend, Sam.

There are plans for a private family memorial service in the Outer Banks in the near future to celebrate his life.
