It is with great sadness that the family of John Michael Konieczny announces his passing on June 20, 2020 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was 69.
John was born in Roselle, NJ, on August 1, 1950 to the late Leo Stanley Konieczny and Mildred Irene Board Konieczny.
John held a BS degree from Xavier University and engaged in Post-graduate studies at Marshall University. A skilled electrician, John’s company, Domestic Electric, served the people of Huntington, West Virginia for over forty years. He was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church and a regular
Cabell County elections poll-worker. He loved aviation, sailing, family vacations at the beach and reminiscing about his heritage.
John is survived by his siblings, Carolyn Irene Konieczny of Huntersville, NC;Elizabeth Ann Anders and husband Gregg of San Antonio, TX; James Joseph Konieczny and wife Robin of Stanley, NC; Leo Steven Konieczny and wife Suzanne of Anderson, SC.
Out of an abundance of caution during these challenging times, the family will privately celebrate his life and asks his mourners to offer a moment of private memorial of their own choosing. John will be laid to rest at the Woodmere Memorial gardens in Huntington, WV.
