José Manuel Rivera Vega, 53 of Charlotte, NC

Passed away on August 9th, 2025.

Jose was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on January 11th, 1972.

The late Jose was preceded in death by J. Carmen Rivera and Lilia Vega, his parents. His brother J.

Carmen Rivera Vega. Along with his grandparents Hipólito Rivera García and Juana Quiroz Laguna

his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Maria Mejia, daughters, Michelle Rivera Mejía and Jacqueline Rivera Mejía

and his sons, Jose Rivera Mejia and Isaac Rivera Mejia.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner (Huntersville)

Funeral services with be held from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner (Huntersville)

Jose’s burial will be held from 3:15 to 3:45 PM at Northlake Memorial Gardens

He was a devoted son, brother, father and grandfather with the biggest heart. His greatest joy in life

was his family, which he sacrificed so much for. Giving his strength, and his heart to ensure their

happiness and well-being even through his last days. Always ready with a warm smile, dad jokes, or

a helping hand, he made every moment with him feel special. In 2022, he was diagnosed with

cancer, and from that moment on, he faced his battle with a lot of courage. Even in his hardest

days, his love for his family never wavered. His spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by

those who were blessed to know him.

El difunto José fue precedido en fallecer por sus padres, J. Carmen Rivera y Lilia Vega; su

hermano, J. Carmen Rivera Vega; y sus abuelos, Hipólito Rivera García y Juana Quiróz

Laguna.

Fue querido y será recordado con amor por su esposa, María Mejía; sus hijas, Michelle Rivera

Mejía, Jacqueline Rivera Mejía y sus hijos Jose Manuel Rivera Mejía y Isaac Rivera Mejía.

Jose fue dedicado hermano, papa, abuelo con un corazón enorme. Su mayor alegría fue su

familia que dedicó muchos sacrificios. Dio mucha fuerza, y corazon para asegurar la felicidad y

buen estar hasta su ultima dia. Siempre listo con una gran sonrisa, un buen chiste, o una mano

para quien la necesitara. Cada momento se sintió especial junto a él. En el año 2022 fue

diagnosticado y desde ese momento empezó su pelea contra el cáncer. Hasta en los días más

difíciles nunca desvaneció el amor a su familia. Su espíritu será recordado y querido por todos

los que lo conocieron.
