It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Edward Forsha, Jr., 71, of Mt. Ulla, North Carolina. Joseph (Jeff) was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1952, to the late Joseph Edward Forsha and Mabel (Betty) Elizabeth Forsha.
Jeff graduated from the Kiski School, Saltsburg, Pennsylvania in 1972 and later received his B.A. in Business from the University of Phoenix. Jeff served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant (E-5) from 1972 to 1978 at Vandenburg Air Base in Vanderburg, California.
Jeff met his wife, Shirley Allen, in the San Francisco Bay area where he worked as a manager at Hewlett-Packard in San Jose from 1978-2004. His beloved only child, Lindsay Katherine Forsha, was born in 1987. Jeff moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2004 and founded his company, A-Pro Advantage Inspection Services in Mooresville, providing residential and commercial building inspection services in the Charlotte area.
Jeff was an avid woodworker, amateur photographer, and history buff who loved traveling and camping. He had an affinity for nature, covered bridges, and lighthouses, which he photographed during his travels throughout the country.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Maiden. He is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Katherine Forsha of Huntersville; sisters, Cindy Glancy (John) of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Lynda Forsha Blanchard (Robert) of La Jolla, California; brother, Dana Yealy (Sally) of Wexford, Pennsylvania; former wife, Shirley Forsha of Huntersville; along with many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
