Josephine Penland Patterson

Mrs. Josephine Ann Penland Patterson, 77 of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her residence. Born September 14, 1937 in Williamson County, Ill she was a daughter of the late Loyd Ervin Penland and Anna Jurgaitis Penland. She was the registrar at St. Louis Community College prior to her retirement. She is survived by her daughters, Samantha Schneider and husband Erik of Huntersville, NC and Deborah Vancil and husband David of DuQuoin, Ill; grandchildren, Sutton, Evan, Jennifer, John and Mindy and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Patterson; daughter, Jaime Nelson; sister ,Geraldine Maulding and brother, Gene Penland.
