Judy Rhymer Gann

Judy Ruth Gann Iron of Lincolnton, NC passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 80.

Judy was born in Hendersonville NC on June 16th, 1945, to the late Charles and Alconia Dermid.

She graduated from Hendersonville High School, and moved to Charlotte NC.

She began her working career at Industrial Textile supply where she dedicated herself for 38 years before she jumped into what she was born to do, a full-time thrifter. She could find anything for you, and did it with a smile as she took pleasure seeing her friends and family happy.

Along with her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Scottie Steve Gann “Paw Paw” and brother, Charlie Lidie of Hendersonville.

She is survived by one of the greatest son’s in the world, Anthony “Smokey” Rhymer.

Judy was blessed with one wonderful granddaughter, Whitney Alexandra Kahmann, and her husband Joe Kahmann, along with a one-of-a-kind grandson, Casey Alexander Rhymer and his wife Taylor Rhymer. Life also blessed Judy with two beautiful GREAT granddaughters, Sadie Jane Rhymer and Ella Faire James Kahmann.

Judy was a proud woman who grew up with very little, but through hard work and saving she provided a wonderful life for her family and continued to be there for us everyday. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We love you J U D Y G A N N

The family will be following her wishes and holding a private ceremony where she asked that we spread her ashes over the graves of her late husband and mother.
