June Mish Cranford

Former Asheboro resident June Mish Cranford, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 3, 2026 in Denver, NC.  June was born March 1, 1948 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Edward Mish and Elizabeth Rumsey Mish.  Raised in an Army Airborne home, June moved often in her childhood, including spending time in Okinawa, Japan.  Her family eventually settled in High Point, NC where June was a 1966 graduate of Allen Jay High School.  She worked at High Point Bank & Trust, High Point Urban Ministry, and later for many years at First National Bank in Asheboro where she retired in 2010.  June also volunteered at the North Carolina Zoo, including animal rehabilitation.  She enjoyed gardening, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by brother Johnny Mish and Leonard Cranford, her husband of 55 years.  She is survived by son Eric Cranford and wife Sherita, daughter Kelley Schneider and husband David, grandchildren Ethan Schneider and Gavin Schneider, and nephews Steven Cranford and Dean Cranford.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Hospice.
