Keelen Charles Gunnoe, 31, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on December 23, 2022.
Keelen was born in Charlotte, NC on May 24, 1991 to Robert Gunnoe and Keisha Edwards. He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was a certified restoration expert.
Keelen was a devoted big brother, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and soon-to-be father. He could not wait to meet his first born son, Kage Van Le Gunnoe, who was born on December 30, 2022. He had an infectious smile, a sense of humor that only some understood, and could light up a room with his confidence and love. Keelen was the life of the party and protector of his family. Family was everything to him! He enjoyed art, sports(especially football), the mountains and traveling the world. He gave back to various organizations that he was passionate about, mostly focused on child advocacy.
Keelen will be lovingly remembered by his parents; the loves of his life, Sia Small, Sage and first born son, Kage; his Nana Mai Gunnoe; his Papaw Allen Gunnoe(Linda); his grandma Sandra Edwards; his sisters Shantazia Gunnoe(Craig), Chelaija Gunnoe, Zharia Edwards, Zah’Laiye Gunnoe, Zoe Gunnoe, Lillian Roseboro, Chemarion Graham, and Jazmine Furr; his brothers Raedyn Gunnoe, Robert Covington IV and Jamari Sloan; his aunts Cynthia Jordan(Andrew), Jessica Walkup(Sandor) and Felicia Gunnoe; his cousins Chekaira Fortin(Bret), Sandor Walkup II, Chemaiya Jordan, Andrew Jordan III, Midori Walkup and Branton Elkins; best friends Jad Nasrallah, Sebastian Coupet, Keyla Ramirez and Niquel Rowell; and many nieces and nephews who loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur Edwards; brother John Morales Carillo; and best friend Alastair Tegui-in.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at QC Sound Stage, 3049 Scott Futrell Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
